Equality,according to the dictionary means the state or quality of being equal in quantity, degree, value, rank, or ability. But to me equality means being able to have the same rights as others and that's not happening. Many races get stereotyped and that's not treating them with equality. For example people assume all Jews have big noses,All black people are stereotyped as criminals, and Mexicans are stereotyped as extreme machismo. Those stereotypes may be true but not in all cases. I think stereotyping people is treating them with inequality. This is why we need equality in our society so people don't get put down thanks to all these stereotypes.
I think equality is achievable if we all pitch in, if we all treat everyone with equality. We also promised that all man are created equal in the Declaration of Independence. Here is the proof
"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights." And in those rights liberty is included, and i think if we have liberty we have equality as well.
